Toni Gonzaga recently met with John Estrada and Randy Santiago who shared their sentiments about their friend Willie Revillame being disappointed with them for agreeing to be the hosts of ABS-CBN’s upcoming noontime show. “Nagkita kami nina Kuya John at Kuya Randy ang sabi nila, eh dito sa industriyang ito ‘pag personal ka talaga, ‘pag pinepersonal mo lahat, sa bahay ka na lang, dun ka na lang, ‘Hoy matulog ka na lang sa bahay kasi walang mangyayari sa ‘yo kung hindi mo kaya lahat,’” revealed the actress-host. Last January 26, Willie had announced on his TV show that he is going to end his friendship with John and Randy because he was hurt by the pair’s decision to accept ABS-CBN’s offer.
But Toni is confident that her soon-to-be co-hosts will be able to rise above this controversy. “Eh si Kuya John and (Kuya) Randy naman matagal na sila sa industrya. I’m sure kayang-kaya nilang i-handle lahat ng bagong intriga.” The said TV program is currently in the works and is scheduled to start this February.
Aside from John, Randy, and Toni, Mariel Rodriguez is also a host of the new show. Toni admitted in an episode of The Buzz that she had already met with the staff and hosts of the upcoming show, including Mariel, with whom she had a rift. Last Saturday, January 29, was their first face-to-face meeting after their tiff in 2010.
Toni said that she has no problem working with Mariel again. “As long as it’s a good project, it’s for the common good, as long as maraming matutuwang tao.” The two had previously worked together in Pinoy Big Brother and Entertainment Live.
Toni stressed, “Actually both of us, we’re in the situation na damned-if-you-do, damned-if-you-don’t. Whatever we say, whatever we do, people will always have [an idea about] us and already passed judgment on us. So no matter how we try to convince, explain, and answer whatever questions, may mindset na ang ibang tao na hindi mababago. Ang imporante sa akin ‘pag sinabi kong tapos na, tapos na lahat.” She added that she wants to put the issue behind her and would like to start anew this 2011.
She said that the personal matters will be set aside in favor of the show and that continuous effort will come from both parties for the improvement of the show. “Lahat ng bagay na ‘yan mapagtatrabahuhan at bago naman mangyari ang lahat ng bagay sa telebisyon matagal munang plantsahan at matagal na pagdidiskusyon at pag-aayos. Everything will work out for the best I guess,” said Toni.

MANILA, Philippines - Singer-actress Toni Gonzaga confirmed that communication lines have opened between her and former co-host Mariel Rodriguez.
In an interview with "Showbiz News Ngayon" (SNN), Gonzaga shared that she and Rodriguez are on speaking terms again 3 months after their rift was revealed.
Gonzaga said they started communicating after Rodriguez congratulated her for the success of her movie "My Amnesia Girl" with John Lloyd Cruz as her leading man.
"She texted me first. Actually it was a number, then she said that it was her. Siyempre nagulat naman ako na [she texted] after a long time of no communication. Siyempre nawala siya, tapos bumalik siya.
"Oo, shocked talaga ako. 'Yon ang mga bagay, 'yong magagandang surprise for me na gumawa pa siya ng way na bumati, siyempre na-a-appreciate ko," she said.
Gonzaga admitted that she misses the old times with Rodriguez especially since they were close and went through a lot of things together. Both of them hosted "E-live" and "Pinoy Big Brother."
"Ang tagal na din naming magkakasama ever since na mag-ABS kami. Kami na halos talaga, from the highs and the lows, from being single and double, talagang lahat kami ang magkakasama. I guess if you really had that kind of bonding, kapag nawala ay hahanapin din natin 'yon kahit paano," Gonzaga said.
The actress said that despite their rift, she's now willing to let bygones be bygones.
"Ako naman ay hindi nagtatanim ng sama ng loob. Ang lagi ko ngang sinasabi, 'Our heart is like a fertile soil.' So kung magtatanim ako ng galit ay magkakaroon ako ng puno ng hatred in my heart. Papangit ang aura natin. Hindi tayo ngingiti. Mas maganda 'yong lagi kang nakangiti. So ang tinatanim ko lang ay good memories and good vibes para it's a tree of happiness and positivity."
Meanwhile, in a text message sent to SNN, Rodriguez stressed that she will keep loving Gonzaga as a friend.
"Always loved Toni. Will always love her," Rodriguez texted.
Gonzaga had accused Rodriguez of badmouthing her, an allegation the latter vehemently denied.
Report has it that the feud between the two started when Rodriguez's hubby, action star Robin Padilla, cancelled his supposed movie with Gonzaga.
