MMDA ordered the tarpaulins of actresses Angel Locsin and Anne Curtis.

MANILA, Philippines (1st UPDATE) - The Metro Manila Development Authority on Monday ordered the tarpaulins of actresses Angel Locsin and Anne Curtis pulled out for lack of permit, violating the National Building Code and for being offensive.

A MMDA press statement said the tarpaulins on Boni-EDSA showed the 2 actresses both clad in bras.

It said MMDA will tear down similar illegal billboards on EDSA-Trinoma and EDSA-Pasay.
Curtis, however, denied that she has such a billboard along Boni-Edsa.
“Hello I don't think I have any billboards along Boni-Edsa to begin with. Most specially in a bra :) I think @MMDA may be wrong :p” she tweeted.

Mandaluyong City Mayor Benhur Abalos earlier asked advertisers to take down sexy billboards of the Philippine Volcanoes, the country's rugby team, along EDSA.
The billboards feature members of the team showing off their bodies as they posed in their underwear.

MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino earlier filed 8 cases against 3 billboard operators illegally maintaining billboards in Quezon City for violations of the National Building Code and its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and for lack of the necessary permits.

The billboards, located along E. de los Santos Avenue, Bonifacio Avenue and Immaculate Conception (Cubao), were erected without any building permit and encroached on setback requirements prescribed in the Building Code. All eight billboards had received notices of rolldown/ removal and confiscation of the illegal advertising tarpaulins from the Local Building Official of Quezon City.

A total of 18 cases have been filed against illegal billboard operators, the first batch of 10 billboards having been filed in Makati City by the MMDA Chairman last June.

For the love of Kylie Minogue, Anne Curtis rode the MRT.

For the love of Kylie Minogue, Anne Curtis rode the MRT.

Anne who just arrived from Australia went straight to watch Kylie's Aphrodite 2011 Tour Live In Manila concert amidst heavy traffic. Running late for the show, the Kapamilya actress chose the best, fastest and most practical means of transportation available: an MRT ride to Cubao station.

"Hulaan nyo Kung nasaan ako para makahabol kay #Kylie? :p" she tweeted to her over one million followers on July 5.

A standing Anne as seen in the picture assured her Twitter followers that she's safe with her assistant Maryann.

"I'm in the girls area! They're all nice! Swerte daw ako at hindi masyado siksikan! :)" she began. "Don't worry guys! I'm with my angel Maryann! And mababait lahat ng girls! D magulo! Picture picture taking lang at chikahan!"

She also approved of MRT's men and women segregation.

"I like the fact that there's a ladies and men's section! Thumbs up!," she wrote.

And when Anne finally saw Kylie in her "Aphrodite 2011 Tour Live in Manila" concert at the Araneta Coliseum, she knew her MRT ride was all worth it.

"She is absolutely beautiful! Tunay na Dyosa!," she tweeted.

Actress Anne Curtis is bonding with her family in London

MANILA, Philippines – Actress Anne Curtis is bonding with her family, some of whom she has not seen in years, in London where the wedding of her brother recently took place.
Curtis, who flew to London on June 16 with her dad, said she and her family “did a lot of touristy stuff.”
“I’m here kasi kasal ng kuya ko. We’re here for the wedding. Nagsilipiran kami from Australia, Bahrain, and lahat nandito para sa kasal ng kuya ko,” she told “The Buzz” in a taped phone interview.
“Basically we did a lot of touristy stuff. Tiningnan namin ‘yong Buckingham Palace, the Changing the Guards. We watched plays, the Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, V&A Museum. Ang dami naming ginagawa. A lot of walking masaya, masaya kasi authentic siya na nagsama sama ang pamilya, chikahan,” the “Showtime” host added.
She said there were many dinners wherein most of them would cry and embrace each other
“So, it’s really been a lovely time,” she said. “Rarely I see my dad cry and dito sa trip na ito, mga 4 na beses ko na siyang nakikitang umiiyak kasi kapag nakita mo ang daddy mo na umiiyak, di ba, so lahat kami nag-iiyakan din.”
When asked about her own wedding, the actress said it still too early to discuss it.
“Naku, hindi pa, medyo matagal pa siguro ‘yon. Meron pa akong dalawang kapatid na kailangan mauna sa akin. Basta magkakasama lahat ng pamilya kapag dumating na ‘yong oras na ikakasal ako,” she said.
