Here is the better solution than previous one , for new chat bar in Facebook. (Old trick is here !)
Just put the it in the address bar: http://www.facebook.com/presence/popout.php#
Other tricks:
-It doesn’t open in sidebar like previous solution !
-Supported in Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.
-Only Shows online friends rather than showing mostly contacted friends.
-Supports minimization like it was in Old Chat Box.
-Supports Groups availability !
FOR GOOGLE CHROME
1] Install the latest version of chrome, or update it to latest version.
2] You need to install one script developed at www.userscripts.org.
To install this open this link and click on the INSTALL button :[color green upper right]

3] Chrome will ask to install it or not…Click on CONTINUE.
4] Again it will ask to install or not…Click on INSTALL, after it will show pop-up that it is successfully installed!
5] Done!
Open the Facebook and see the old chat box !
To disable/uninstall :
SETTINGS;>TOOLS;>EXTENSIONS;>Facebook Sidebar Chat Reversion.
FOR MOZILLA FIREFOX
1]You need to install the GreaseMonkey Add-on to use above script. Get it from here.
(Don’t know how to install add-ons ?? Do as described here : )
2]After installing add-on, restart Firefox and open this link again.

3] Click on INSTALL.
4] Popup will open…Click on INSTALL.
5] Done! Open Facebook and enjoy Old Chat box again !
To Disable/Remove go to:
FIREFOX BUTTON (on top left)>ADD-ONS>USER SCRIPTS > Facebook Chat Bar Revisons.
Notes:
-Facebook keeps updating its code.So in future it might be possible that it will not work.
-But why worry about future ?? Enjoy it now !

If you are unable to open the chatbox, just follow these steps..
You just need to zoom in or zoom out your browser page..
1 Get a browser that supports zooming such as Firefox or Chrome..
2Click Click to View then Zoom then Zoom Text Only if you wish.
3Press Ctrl and + to zoom in.
4Press Ctrl and - to zoom out.
5Press Ctrl and to restore the original size.
