Killing of 'baywalk bodies' member condemned

MANILA, Philippines – The talent manager of “Baywalk Bodies” has denounced the gruesome murder of one of the members of the all-female sexy singing group.

"Minsan may mga taong walang puso, napakahalang ng kaluluwa. Babarilin siya sa ulo, babae yan,” Lito de Guzman said of the murder of Rejoice Rivera, who was shot to the head reportedly 3 days before the New Year celebration.

Rivera's body was recovered along North Luzon Expressway on December 31, reports said.

De Guzman vowed full support in seeking justice for the 26-year-old singer, whose real name is Dianne Marie Santos. He said they already have an idea who killed her, but they cannot reveal the identities yet because they still lack proof and concrete evidence.

"Alam kong siya 'yon. Alam kong sila 'yon. Sana winarningan nila 'yong tao, hindi 'yong kamatayan agad," the talent manager said without elaborating.

Authorities are reportedly eyeing love triangle as possible motive for the murder.

In a separate interview, Rivera’s mom, Nieves Santos, said her family remains clueless as to why her daughter ended with a dreadful fate.

She also dismissed speculations that Rivera’s sexy image was the reason behind the tragedy.
