Marian Rivera feels grateful to Kris Aquino

Marian Rivera feels grateful to Kris Aquino. This is because the TV host took good care of Dingdong Dantes, Marian’s boyfriend, on the set of the Metro Filmfest entry “Segunda Mano”, where he plays Kris’s leading man.

Ganun si Ate (Kris) kahit hindi kami madalas magkita,” Marian said at the press conference of “Panday 2” last Wednesday, December 14.

How does Marian feel about the fact that Kris is fond of her?

Marian recalled getting a text message from Kris asking her (Marian) to give Dingdong an eye cream.

Kris is also very vocal about her wish for Dingdong to get an acting award for “Segunda Mano.” Marian agrees, since she thinks Dingdong gave his best in the movie, where he plays a different character.

“So, yun lang, masaya ako doon.

Not bothered

Marian added that she is not bothered at Kris and Dingdong’s team-up in the movie.

“Kilala ko naman yung dalawa. Trabaho lang yun,” she said.

Given the chance, would Marian grab the chance to work with Kris?

“Siyempre.

Marian said nothing is definite yet on whether or not she will work with male stars outside her home network, GMA 7.

"Hindi ko alam, wala pa akong alam,” Marian replied when asked about rumors that she will have non-GMA male artists as co-stars. Marian is rumored to have a project lined up with Kapamilya talent Coco Martin.

Marian revealed that she’s willing to work with anyone as long as it’s okay with her home network.

Since she is busy promoting her movie “Panday 2” which also stars Bong Revilla and Iza Calzado,

Christmas at home

Marian said she will spend her Christmas with her family in Cavite. She is also thankful for the blessings she received this year and looks forward to a better and more fruitful year.

Is there something she regrets doing this year?

“Wala.

“Panday 2” opens on December 25 in theaters nationwide. It stars Bong Revilla, Iza Calzado, Phillip Salvador, Benjie Paras, Rhian Ramos, Eddie Garcia, Kris Bernal, Buboy Villar and Alden Richards and is directed by Mac Alejandre. It is produced by GMA Films and Imus Productions.

The alleged feud between “Temptation Island” stars Marian Rivera and Heart Evangelista may have reached its climax

The long-running story on the alleged feud between “Temptation Island” stars Marian Rivera and Heart Evangelista may have reached its climax.

Two Sundays ago, reports surfaced that there was a confrontation between Marian and Heart during the “Temptation Island” taping in Paoay, Ilocos Norte. During the “Showbiz Central” episode that day, John Lapus, also part of the movie, denied the feud.

However, after the first report, an update circulated that there was confrontation between Marian and Heart's mother, Cecile Ongpauco at the local airport, the latter allegedly bringing bodyguards with her last June 13.

Admission

During the “Temptation Island” press conference earlier today, June 23, at the Imperial Palace Hotel in Quezon City, Marian admitted that there is truth to previous reports about the confrontation.

The Filipino-Spanish actress explained that she thought all was well before they returned to Manila from their shooting for “Temptation Island” in Ilocos Norte. All that changed when they got to the airport in Manila.

Wala talaga. At hindi kami nagaway,” she said.

However, she refused to elaborate on what happened at the airport.

The actress also didn't explain what may have caused the confrontation in Manila after the “Temptation Island” shooting, although she said that what happened in Ilocos Norte between her and Heart is merely a misunderstanding between friends.

Shocked

The 26-year-old actress said she'd rather let the cast and crew of “Temptation Island” explain what really happened.

Emotional

Although she was clearly emotional during the press conference, Marian still managed to joke about the reported bodyguards involved in the airport incident.

“Bodyguards? Next time, kung 15 ang dala nila, ako mga siguro 100 bakla ang dadalhin ko,” she quipped.

Last March, when the cast of the “Temptation Island” remake was announced, it was reported that Heart switched roles with Marian. It was also reported that Marian had a hand in convincing Heart in accepting the role. Does she regret that now after their friendship turned sour?

Marian added, “So pinagsisisihan na ano? So yun lang. Hindi ko kawalan.”
