Angelica Panganiban 'traumatized' by Claudine's accusation

MANILA, Philippines – Angelica Panganiban has been “traumatized” by an incident that saw her former celebrity friend, Claudine Barretto, threatening her of harm and accusing her of spreading a nasty rumor.

ABS-CBN entertainment talk show “The Buzz” reported that Panganiban got hurt by Barretto’s accusation that the "Rubi" star was the one who started a rumor about her alleged extramarital affair.

Barretto has vehemently denied the allegation about her purported illicit affair. Panganiban's camp, on the other hand, has maintained that she never maligned the former Star Magic talent.

"The Buzz" reported that Panganiban was so affected by the issue that she is still in the process of healing.

“Letting it go remains an option, after all, they are both young and belong to a small industry. But then, the final decision will rest on a number of considerations,” lawyer Joji Alonso, the actress’s legal counsel, said in a statement.

Alonso also hopes that Barretto will refrain from making unfair statements against Panganiban as the 2 camps continue to talk to solve their tiff.

At the height of the issue, Barretto had even threatened to harm Panganiban, prompting the latter to get bodyguards to protect herself.

Last Friday, Panganiban flew to the US for the "One Kapamilya Go" event organized by The Filipino Channel (TFC). She was accompanied by her bodyguards at the airport. -The Buzz
