Diether confirms break-up with his girlfriend

MANILA, Philippines - Hunk actor Diether Ocampo finally confirmed that he and girlfriend Rima Lorza Ostwani have already called it quits.

In a press conference for his upcoming movie "Mamarazzi," Ocampo said conflict of interest and busy schedules were the reasons behind the break-up.

"Mayroong mga pagkakataong kailangang balansehin mo ang bagay bagay. Kailangan mo lang maging fair sa mga taong involved sa buhay mo, whether its personal or professional career. At this point I have to sacrifice something. Hindi ko naman sinabi na pang-matagalan. Gusto kong bigyan ng prioridad ang mga gagawin ko na hakbang na ayaw kong makasakit ng tao," Ocampo said.

He also clarified that it was a mutual decision, and that they remain friends.

"Maayos naman lahat so sana suportahan din natin siya eventually. She will be doing a lot of hosting jobs, so I'm looking forward to that," Ocampo said.

He added that whatever happens he wants to preserve their friendship and the mutual respect that they have for each other.

Ostwani came to Ocampo’s life after his marriage to Kristine Hermosa had been declared null and void. Ocampo said he was grateful that Ostwani had accepted him, warts and all.

Early this year, Ocampo admitted that they were trying to fix their relationship after their rumored break-up had surfaced.

Ocampo, who is one of the stars of hit series "Rubi," is busy promoting "Mamarazzi" under Regal Films. –SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon
